这是一张极其特殊且极具实验性的概念专辑,整张专辑仅包含一首长达 44 分钟 44 秒的同名歌曲。歌词采用了意识流和“口述历史”的形式,由 Phil Elverum 用平静、质朴的独白式唱腔,回顾了他整个人的成长轨迹、青年时期的音乐生涯、对旧时光的记忆以及艺术创作的本质。专辑封面使用了他 1999 年在美因新墨西哥州拍摄的一张旧照。整部作品如同一场关于“过去的我”与“现在的我”的深刻对话。
